Should I take the internship

So here’s the thing. I’m from Central Europe and currently in my first semester of my bachelors degree in Finance. I recently got an offer from custodian bank to do a 6 month long internship with them. My responsibilities will be mostly clearing whether or all documents of funds (like NAVs) are in order, sorting out data required for investment compliance processing, integrating files into cash monitoring systems, integration of fund accounting. They have a lot of training programs there (like classes I suppose) and e-Learings for me to complete. This was my only offer so far, I have sent out around 40ish CVs and received few calls and one offer.

I’m having some second thoughts about joining the firm since my goal is to get into M&A in Big 4 or MBB. The thing I’m considering is whether this position will improve my chances down the line to get into and Financial Analyst position internship or maybe Junior. Is it possible for such experience to decrease getting future internships?

That internship is not really relevant in terms of the future role in general but my thinking is that it’s better than no working experience at all. I don’t think I can get more relevant internship now, but I’m afraid it may have a negative impact on my gpa.
