Showing internship work in an interview? Good Idea?
I'm going to interview for commercial and corporate banking spots with three of the big guys and a few big regional banks in Texas. In my internship, I created a lot of performance reports in SNL for the bank...would there be any benefit to showing one or two in an interview?
I mainly want to show that I do have decent Excel skills (queries, macros, formatting and overall presentation) and that I understand bank financials pretty well. Thanks
Bring it with you but don't whip it out unannounced. If the situation seems appropriate, mention that you brought some examples of prior work for them to refer to.
I've only had to bring past work once, but it was at their request.
yeah you should just bring it just in case. There might be a time during the interview when you feel it's appropriate to mention that you brought in work and see if they would like to see it. I agree with the person above that you shouldn't whip it out unannounced though lol
