Sophomore from a target school looking for summer internship (no experience)

So I am a sophomore at NYU Stern studying finance (currently studying abroad in Madrid) and I am looking to apply to summer internships but I have no clue where to start. I have no relevant work experience. On my resume the only experience I had listed was volunteer work. I pan to apply to a ton of random internships from big name banks to boutiques to start ups but I doubt they would hire someone with literally no relevant experience. Also, I havent taken any finance or accounting related classes yet (will take both in the upcoming spring semester) so I feel like I dont't know anything that will prepare me for a summer internship. Should I just apply to as many internships as I can and hope for the best? Thanks for any help
