Sophomore Internship Advice -- M&A IB Intern at top Valuation Shop vs. Risk Management Intern at top MM
Hi, I hope all is well.
I am deciding between 2 internship offers, one is in the IB/CorpFin division of a top independent valuation company (eg. Duff & Phelps, E&Y advisory, etc) and the other is in Risk Management at a top MM bank (eg. Baird, Blair, etc.)
I am hoping to intern at an EB or BB for my junior summer, and I am curious which would look better on my resume. The name of the risk management internship is better (top MM investment bank) but the work I will be doing at the independent valuation group is within its investment banking division (more applicable to a junior year internship, deals mostly in 200-500 mil range, maybe some lower too).
I am leaning towards the M&A IB internship, but because I will recruit for junior summer before I even start my sophomore internship, I was wondering if there were any other ideas. Thanks!
How man, I want to replicate your strategies.
