Sophomore Summer Internship - Which internship would look better on a resume?

I may be over thinking this, but was wondering which internship would look better on a resume. I recently finished my sophomore year with roughly a 3.4 cumulative studying economics at a semi target.

Position A - Wealth Management with a company along the lines of Merrill Lynch/RBC. I was told i would be doing some cold calling, but was assured that i would get to learn quite a bit as well.

Position B - Institutional Sales at a Turkish bank over in Istanbul. I would spend abou 80% of my time in sales but was told i'd be put in research a bit too as it'd be a beneficial learning experience. This bank is not known outside the country, but the internship is relevant to the area i'd like to work in eventually.

Since i do eventually want to go in Sales and Trading, Position B seems like a no-brainer but i was wondering whether the bank not being known would hurt my chances? Or do you guys feel that the experience is all that matters? I have a place to stay and both are paid. I'm essentially wondering which one would look better and put me in the best position come fall recruiting? I'd appreciate it.

One thing that I noticed was that interviewers cared much more about what you spent your internship time doing, rather than where you did it at. Almost all of the SA interviews I had this winter were much more focused on what I did during my internships rather than harping on where the time was spent. Working somewhere obscure could actually work in your favor as well-everyone and their brother has pwm nowadays.

That's what i figured, although i'm simply worried about getting the interview in the first place and was worried that i might not get into the interview with a no name bank.

Any other opinions?

I agree with leveRAGE. If you throw in enough description of what your responsibilities were on your resume, then you'll be fine as far as getting interviews. When they're scanning you're resume for 30 secs or whatever, they will read the company name...along with your title and your bullet points detailing what work you did. Seems like A, just has the company name and not as much substance as B. Yeah maybe they don't read every word, but if you do indeed get meaningful experience at B, you should be able to word your resume effectively so that you've got parts of your job description that jump out at them.

Plus it seems like you'll be able to talk more about what you did at Position B than A; if you can sell them on your ability to do work that you think is similar to S&T, then it's def worth it. And I would kill to spend a summer in Turkey, although judging by your screen name maybe it's not too unique for you.
