Spring FT Start Instead of FT Contract Start in 2022?

I'm at a mid tier bulge bracket (Citi/BarCap/CS/BAML) and was wondering how possible it would be for me to start in January 2022 instead of June 2022. I don't really have anything to do for 6 months and might as well just start working (I rather start working tbh). I know that training is done in bulk in the summer, but is something like this possible? Thanks in advance friends.

You have to ask your team is that is possible. Some groups are dead-set on having 1st year analysts start in the summer around June/July but others are okay with ppl starting in Jan. When I was interviewing with the group I ended up getting an offer from, they wanted me to start early given my December grad date.

Ok I will ask HR then my VP, I already signed the contract so I don't know why this got moved to the job search forum.
