Spring Internship - Going to graduate in December 2008
Here’s my situation: I’m going to graduate a semester early (December 2008) from school and probably won’t be starting full-time until June or July. I don’t want to let that six or seven months go to waste. What I’d like to do is get an spring internship to pass the time, preferably in Asset Management or at a boutique investment bank. (I’m doing Equity Research for a BB in NYC this summer and I’d like to try my hand at some other areas just to broaden my expertise.)
So, how should I go about looking for spring internships? When is the best time to start seriously looking?
Just a suggestion - rather than spending your time working at an internship, why not look to getting a CFA? Use that time to study up for the tests (which I believe are in June).
why not spend that time traveling? or remain in your college town and work as a bartender or something to make some cash and hang out.
spend your time focusing on getting a FT offer first
some banks let you start in Jan or Feb if you graduate in December
