Star up Financial Analyst (FP&A) interview question

I got an interview from a start up firm and it's like a FP&A position, involving lots of planning& forecasting and facing management to provide business performance KPIs. The interviewers are hiring manager and CFO, so I'm wondering what questions should I prepared for? Thanks!

Sounds like a super interesting opportunity. I would suggest obtaining a thorough understanding of the start-up and the industry they participate. Since you would be responsible for forecasting, think about what drives the company's revenue - they might ask something along those lines.

Understanding how the financial statements flow together is probably important - and basic theory behind npv (maybe).

Never interviewed for such a role, so the above is my best guess. Fit will probably super important so be a cool dude/dudette, but not so cool that it's intimidating (sometimes I have that problem).

Thank you so much for your reply. The interview schedule indicates that I'll meet with the head of HR, hiring manager and CFO. Since I've talked with HM almost 50 mins yesterday, any idea what would he ask me during onsite? We talked about the technique questions and lots stuff outside work, so I can't imagine what else he might want to ask next?

I don't have experience to interview with CFO, usually what kind of questions would he ask? More high level or technique questions?

Thank you!
