Starting FT on September instead of June?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently an undergrad and my degree officially finishes in June. I’m considering applying for a Master’s programme that runs until the following September. My question is:

  • How common is it for firms to require interns converting to full-time to start working in June?
  • If I were to receive a return offer, would it typically be possible to defer my employment start date until September, or do most firms expect immediate availability?

Really appreciate hearing from people who’ve gone through this situation or have experiences regarding this concern. Thanks in advance.
