Starting full time immediately after summer internship?
Hello --
I am graduating early and have a SA lined up at a group (tech M&A) that I am really excited about. I was wondering if any of you have heard of a situation in which a SA can start immediately as a full time Analyst after the internship is over. I don't really have the money to be unemployed for 6 months. Thanks for your help!
Definitely possible — had a friend do this. Highly dependent on the firm however. In the case of my friend, their team knew beforehand that they were planning to graduate early/would start right after the internship and had said if they performed, there would be a spot FT immediately after.
Thanks for the insight. HR is aware I will be graduating early, but I haven't communicated this to anyone on the actual banking team yet. Do you think it would be smart to let them know? I just don't want to be presumptuous and act like I am expecting an offer at the end of the internship. My plan was to propose the idea mid way through the internship after I've shown them that I'm a strong performer.
