Strong interview skills and network but zero experience in finance?
So I went to a target school but didn't major in something related to finance, and I have zero experience in this field. I don't see any future in my current job (at a nonprofit) so I recently decided to pursue a career in finance, preferably IB. I have just started reaching out to my former classmates, many of whom are currently employed at big name consulting and IB firms, and I expect to receive a boost from some of them. Now let's say I have the right connection as well as strong interview skills, but still no any experience in the industry, do I stand any chance of breaking into IB?
