Student at target school wants help with major

I am a student at a target university hoping to go into finance or consulting after college. Would a Statistics major and Econ/Finance minor be enough to get hired at any major firm, or would a double major be appreciably more impressive?

Thank you!

If you're at a place like Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Brown, or Williams... it is MUCH better to major in art or history. You're obviously smart enough to learn the softball finance questions in an interview.

If you're at a place like Penn, Michigan, UVA, UCB, Indiana, or Texas... it is MUCH better do just do finance, because they will grill you on that shit in an interview.
