Currently a student in a university program with access to terminals, and will have access for roughly another two years. How common (or uncommon) is it to network via terminals? Is using this comm. channel as opposed to LinkedIn and email appropriate, and would it have any measurable effect? Any stories or example of this? Looking to differentiate.

Really annoying. Use bloomberg to look for people you're interested in speaking with, then add them on linkedin to see if they're interested in talking to you. Nothing more annoying than getting messages on bloomberg while expecting a client to be reaching out from the same platform.
