Summer 2023 vs. August Bonus
If I'm recruiting for a Summer 2023 start in the off-cycle, but know that my firm pays the annual bonus in August, how should I think about negotiating a start date?
Any chance firms would be fine with a late-August start or buying out my bonus for an earlier start (wishful thinking), or would I have to judge offers based on my eating the cost / declining the position? Thanks in advance!
I would be shocked if a fund would ask you to forego your year-end bonus, rather than delay your start a few weeks
