Summer Internship Projects?
One of my friends who interned in IB last summer said they had to do a project / presentation for senior people on their team, and their return offer was based on this project. How common is this? I’ll be interning at a MM this summer in case that helps
Extremely common. However, a good presentation doesn't necessarily make or break your return offer, but a bad one will almost certainly see you dinged.
Don't stress about it, most of us put it off until the last week and then work all nighters cramming and rushing it !!! Hahahah.Plus, even if you suck at presenting or just aren't good at public speaking, it won't break you. At the Analyst level you'll never meet a client or will be in a position that you have to present anything anyways. So don't stress, and remember most banks will just abuse you for your 2 year Analyst stint and then drop you harder than your daddy's balls on your moms chin and leave you for someone else ( PE/ CF / idk) to scoop you up
