Superday CANCELLED because of flight delay
I recently got a superday at RBC in New York. My flight was delayed and eventually cancelled due to the weather. After speaking with HR, they said they can no longer guarantee me an interview, and they don't reschedule for individual students even though this whole situation was out of my control.
Can you guys give me any advice on what to do next?
This is messed up on their part. How the hell are you supposed to control the weather??
I would say just demonstrate how much you're still interested in the bank and position. Lowkey though, you might want to look other places.
Sucks but that's the way it goes sometimes. Do you have another contact with RBC? If so, reach out to them and explain the situation. Offer to fly up on your dime (they won't have you pay but it's nice to offer) on another day. Suggest a phone/video conference interview instead.
