superday s&t

Just had superday earlier this week for S&T (think JPM, MS, GS) and HR told the entire group prior to the start of interviews that we would know of our offers in two weeks. I am really anxious and nervous about this as I have heard that HR contacts and gives offers out the next day. Is this usually the case? Any insight would be of great help.

Congrats on making it to Super Day at a BB. I was told the same thing about "all decisions" being made within a 2 week period that included rejects, holds, and offers. With that being said, generally you will have some candidates that receive offers from multiple firms and if one of them declines the offer from the firm you interviewed with then the recruiters will extend offers to other candidates that they feel were qualified. Keep in mind that offers are usually extended the same day that you interview, and once extended candidates have a 1-2 week window to accept. That 1-2 week window given to those candidates, now pushes back your 2 week window that HR original quoted you another 2 weeks. I’m assuming this could continue until all spots are filled.

I've been in your shoes before....waiting for a 212, 646, or 347 area code to pop up on my cell phone and praying that I didn’t get an automated rejection email.

Anyway, it sounds like you’re still in the game. Stay positive!
