Switch from IB to Tech/Software Engineering

Just wondering if anybody ever thought of switching from IB to software engineering (perhaps at junior level)? Seems like software engineers have similar pays if not higher and much better WLB? What’s your thoughts?

I will never understand these posts. Completely different skill sets, different education required (in most cases), and completely different personality types. Salary isn’t the only thing to account for. Get a grip
