Switching groups before FT 2022 June Graduation Start

hi everyone - recently switched banks after my SA to move from a RBC/Jeff bank to a larger EB for brand name. However, at the time I didn't consider my interest in an industry and was solely focused on the reputation of the bank. I interviewed with a real estate M&A group at the EB and after signing the offer a couple of months ago decided I had 0 interest in the sector.

Would it be possible to switch to a different industry coverage group sometime before my start date begins next summer especially given that other groups have tons of openings and are short staffed? Am I allowed to just reach out to HR and ask to be placed into a seperate group?
