Tablet Usage in IB
I am an incoming analyst at a middle market. During my internship, I didn't notice anyone using tablets but I could see how they may be useful for certain tasks. Does anyone full-time use tablets at your firm and for what purposes? Would it make sense to get one before my student discount runs out, and if so should it be a Surface so that it's compatible with Microsoft? Appreciate any input.
In all likelihood, your firm won't approve you using an outside device and if they wanted you to have a tablet they would give you one. I know some MDs have them at my bank to make commenting easier in airports / on the road. I would kms if I had to do any substantial amount of work on a tablet
