Tax Consequences of Vesting Stock Options
Hi all, it is my understanding that when you exercise the purchase of your employee stock options this is a taxable event, but then you're taxed again on capital gains when you sell the security. Is this true? Are stock options in public companies really just tax death traps for your compensation? Are stock options even worth the hype?
