I spent the summer between my freshman and sophomore years in fixed income at TCW. Great shop with amazing people. Unless you’re on the quantitative side like I was or in operations, there won’t be much available for non-MBA’s, excluding the occasional junior from a top Ivy. Like many of the other hedge funds and asset managers, if you’re a STEM major there’s definitely something available for you as a Freshman.
