Thank you e-mail mistake: wrong recipient
How bad is it to have sent a thank you note to the wrong recipient, after that recipient has already received the correct one intended for him? The recipient is an MD and one of several in the decision-making process.
Also, how would you take terse "I appreciate your interest" and "thanks for coming in" responses if you receive them very shortly after sending your thank you notes?
For how you should take the responses - take it as them actually caring enough to reply to you but having far more important things than to write a long response to some guy they just spent 30 minutes of their precious time interviewing.
And the first part of the question?
Depends on when you sent the email, but either way it isn't a great reflection on your attention to detail. Not much you can do about it now anyway... worrying is like sitting in a rocking chair... it gives you something to do but it doesn't get you anywhere...
The correct e-mail was sent the morning after the interview. The incorrect one was sent 45 minutes later.
dude, you're >23yrs old, you should not still be asking these questions.
I am well over 23, and I can tell you: this stuff never gets less nerve-racking.
