The Struggle of Landing an Internship

Hey everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on a topic that's been weighing on me lately. It's disheartening to see my friends effortlessly secure internships at top-notch MNCs while I've been facing countless rejections despite my best efforts. It's not about envy, but rather the frustration and self-doubt that creep in. The feeling of being left behind is tough, but I know persistence is key. If any of you have been through a similar situation or have any advice, I'd greatly appreciate your insights.

Thanks for lending an ear!

I feel you. I know a lot of people, especially those who did/are doing IB recruitment this past spring, got hit with a harsh reality that getting a summer internship is much harder than what it has been in the past. I’d say just keep grinding and stay away from conversations involving recruitment with friends cuz those typically can give you unneeded stress.

Something that I have realized is that those who went through the stressful late grind for summer internships ended up doing the best in their SA classes because they had that chip on their shoulder, so could be an asset. But good luck.
