Think I F#$@D My Career - Looking for Help!

Left Asset Management a few years back to jump into fintech startups but have gotten my ass kicked a few times unfortunately due to layoffs.

Currently on the sidelines trying to think of whats next, know the current environment is tough as shit, but wondering how bad does it look to having short tenures due to layoffs?

Looking for some guidance and advice!

Op - it’s a pandemic. You had an itch to scratch that was exciting, sexy, fun and hip. Yunsaw the inside of it. Wasn’t your cup of tea or all that it cracked up to be. Flawed business models with no profitability and a pandemic got you let go. Happens to us all. Or some pitch like that. I am sure you can come up with better but hopefully that is a starting point.

Spin spin spin. People will probably figure it out but they’ll expect a spin. You were not the only one laid off and you won’t be the last one to be laid off either. You’ve seen the macro situation the US and the world is in..

Chin up. Keep fighting.

Good Luck

I used to do Asia-Pacific PE (kind of like FoF). Now I do something else but happy to try and answer questions on that stuff.
