Thoughts on OECD Internship?
I have been struggling to land a graduate scheme for September and I just got put forward by my university for the preferred partnership internship at the OECD in Paris. For context I am in the last year of my degree with a major in Economics. I had a 3 month internship at an asset management firm last summer but I had a brutal recruiting round and haven't managed to land an off-cycle or grad scheme for when I graduate. I started applying to masters in economics/finance. I have been accepted to one so far and should start hearing back from others soon. I would have to defer my graduation to spring of 2026 in order to do the OECD Internship, would likely be unable to defer my place in my 1st choice for my masters, not to mention the measly 1k stipend will mean I have to dip into my savings.
That being said I think it would be a great experience, but I am curious if an OECD Internship is highly valued by recruiters in HF, Consulting, etc... or I am better off focusing on a Masters in Finance or Economics
