Thoughts on summer internship?

Currently a sophomore at a non-target, main objective is a front office SA/Full Time position. Any of your thoughts or opinions would be great. Currently considering the following positions:
-Equity Research summer internship with Avondale Partners in Nashville, TN (unpaid)
-Merrill Lynch Wealth Management/GWIM in the NYC area (would allow me to extensively network)
-Prudential Fixed Income Operations in the NYC area (again being in the NYC area networking would be a big plus)
Thanks once again guys

Kick Prudential out right now. I would take the ML name & NYC location over (probably) a better learning experience at Avondale. If you come in and crush through the menial tasks they give you & develop a good relationship with whoever you report to you can convince them to let you take on more analytical projects.

Hey I just received an offer for UBS wealth management internship in NYC. The ML position would be at one of their main offices in central NJ. Any thoughts considering the ML position pays more and is full time compared to the UBS position being in city (advantage of networking)

Go to ML, take the name on the resume and network very hard (wm hours aren't bad). I have a lot of friends that did that internship after sophomore year and then got banking SA and full time afterward so you will have stuff to bond over. All you need to say is that you want something more challenging, fast paced, and with more young people in the office. Get some of these online technical guys and impress the fuck out of them. Good luck and congrats on having some options.
