Time to leave IB but now what

Hi all, I’m an IBD Analyst just stepped into my second year. I’m at a top 3 BB top group in London, but have been questioning myself lately if this career path is for me, as in if I should even pursue the usual PE etc. career paths

Perhaps due to various reasons (burnout, culture mismatch, attitude problem to hierarchy), my individual experience/opinion is very biased right now. I am actively looking to exit, but frankly the No. 1 motivation is I want my life back.

I have spoken to recruiters about some PE/VC roles as that is the most common ones recruiters will come to me with. I have been reading up on FoF/secondaries, potentially AM roles for wlb consideration. I do find the work content interesting(thought that about IB when I entered the industry as well) but I believe staying in a job where I need to be constantly plugged in during all hours will quickly take away any positive feeling I have for the job.

Looking for suggestions for more sustainable career paths - willing to take some pay cut and I’m not too worried about prestige/exit ops- ultimately I am looking for a place where I could feel comfortable and build a long-term career
