TIME TO LEAVE? WHAT IS NEXT

Just wanted some opinions from the community on the situation I am in now.

I moved from one of the big 4 M&A to a PortCo of one of the infrastructure funds (execution work done by PortCo) and have been there for 2 years. Things were fine initially, definitely slower than expected, but deals are still ok/reasonable.

However, in the last year, things came to almost a stop - no deal flow, pipeline close to nothing. Purely asset management work with a shitty asset i.e. problems with the asset/loads of lenders questions etc.

Went for some interviews, but most turned me down because of the lack of experience in deal closing. I am stuck and am thinking 1) should I stay for another year (and hope things get better?); 2) go back to big 4, or any suggestions welcomed.
