Tips to break into IB or hedge fund in Charlotte, NC?

Ok so currently I've been improving my resume (content, formatting, etc), applying to posted jobs, starting to network with current IB analyst and finance recruiters, and cold emailing local firms. Anything else I can do? Thanks.
