Tips to not get overwhelmed in Interviews?
Long story short, I am about to interview for an IB position soon. I often realised that I feel very enthusiastic/energetic/happy when interviewing, as if I already had a foot in (Just at the hi revue stage let's say). I think it's causing me to be less accurate and responsive, and probably making me land beside the bucket and look too confident.
Any tips to see your feet on the ground when interviewing? Also, how to mentally prepare for a rejection? It's my first time passing the Hirevue stage after aiming to work in IB for a year and I'm all over the place, I think I should chill.
I can still apply next year and so on since I'll be finishing my studies, but I'd like to bang this offer so bad.
Take shots before an interview. Or a beer if you’re a fucking lightweight. Don’t get high tho.
This. Especially since interviews are now virtual.
calming medicine or alcohol as suggested above if virtual
The opposite Constanza approach. Tell yourself you don’t really want or need the job and it’ll calm you down
