To Contact or Not To Contact, That Is The Question

I had an interview on Monday with a Partner at a MM Boutique Bank. Since monday I have enrolled in a course on financial modeling. Do you think I should contact the partner and let him know that I have enrolled in this course and will be done by the time summer comes around? Would this help to influence his decision on bringing me into the firm? Or would this just be me annoying him?

don't mention it, its like saying that you are not capable of doing a great job NOW and don't deserve it NOW, but by the time summer rolls around you will. It will show that you are insecure about you current qualifications. You had the interview because you qualified for the position, not because you will qualify in the future. I would've briefly mentioned it during an interview, so definitely pop it in if you happen to have another round. For example, if they ask about your weaknesses you can say, "i haven't had a lot of on the job exposure to excel financial modeling so in order to manage my lack of excel exp. i am taking a financial modeling course"....some bs like that.
