Too late to apply to Toronto Boutique Banks?

Always worth trying, esp. to just get some contacts. Broaden your scope and look at small research firms and money managers as well. Pretty late for Big 5 and U.S. BBs and others like Canaccord Genuity probably.

Never think that it's too late to apply. Go for it. The worst they can say is no.

As a first year, don't worry about getting finance experience. I worked at a government office and they are pretty lax with who they take on, as long as they are a decent worker. Expand your scope as much as possible and don't be afraid to take on non-finance positions.

Try not to stress out too much if you don't get finance experience your first summer. As an AEO, your best bet regarding experience is to become an Analyst at WIC. Recruiters love WIC.

Probably won't get anything finance related unless you know some people but always worth trying. At my bank, we have a first year student just doing some filing right now.
