Too late to meaningfully network? (Advice needed)

Hi all, I’m a sophomore at a decent school (stern/ross/uchicago), but I had a bad freshman year with only around a 2.85 gpa. I was thankfully able to secure a freshman internship doing ECM work through pure luck, and I’ve worked to improve my gpa (~3.67 this semester) However, I haven’t been able to network effectively at all this semester, I was embarrassed of my low gpa. I am aware that I am very behind compared to my peers, but I don’t want to give up just yet. I’ve been trying my best after finals to reach out but to no response. From reading posts here, I understand that AN1~AN2’s must be swamped right now, with work or the sheer amount of calls. I’m not sure if much can be achieved between now and when recruiting opens next semester. I know that I am out of contention for EB/BB given the gpa, so I am trying to narrow my focus to MM and Regional Boutiques. However, it is a lot less clear what to do with these firms. I’m a little out of my mind having just finished finals, and regret is hitting me hard. Anyone have insights on what I could focus my efforts on?
