Applied to this networking event with IB folks from a BB (I’m in Germany), but I was not selected. I’m from a semi-target and I would’ve loved to take part in this event.
I just feel concerned cause I’m in my last year and I don’t know anyone from IB, and cold-emailing people here doesn’t seem respectful. What to do guys?

Keep reaching out to people, also broaden your search to tangential roles that can get you into IB later (TAS, Valuation, Consulting, etc.). While you certainly should not give up on IB, it’s time to get a backup plan in motion.
