top3 BB ops/ Middle Market risk
I’m a second-year student considering two summer internships. I know BB Ops has a strong brand and a high return offer rate, but the team they’re placing me in is within Asset Management ops, and the work seems quite routine. Would completing an Ops internship in AM make it easier for me to move into a front-office AM role later on?
For the Middle Market Risk internship, they haven’t specified the team yet — it could be Operational Risk or Market Risk — and I’ve heard their return rate is lower. The base salaries are similar, so I’m also curious about how the bonuses compare.
