Trading vs IB?

I have been pretty set on going into IB for a couple years. I currently am interning in valuations in between my freshman and sophomore year right now and after seeing the horrendous reviews for banking I was just curious as to how the trading side of Wall Street is? I have always had interest in both banking and stocks and I’m just wondering if someone could give me a brief overview on how hours and salary + exit oops compare in the two jobs. Thanks
