Two spring internships at the same time raising red flags?
Currently a sophomore transfer at a semi target with no relevant work experience in the finance industry—recently got accepted to two internships for the spring: one in M&A advisory and the other in PE, something like a searchfund. Both are unpaid. Seems like both work involves just sourcing, except for the m&a advisory firm which may have due diligence stages later in the internship. Is it wise to take up both internships to position myself in the best position for bb recruiting, or should I choose one over the other?
Hypothetically, if you started an internship a few months before another one so they overlap, would this result in the same answer?
My courseload is purposely light next semester, if that matters.
Something like that came up on someone's resume at my bank, and it was seen as a red flag because it seemed that it was a nothing internship since they were doing 2 while also taking courses. Everyone's done a nothing internship though you just don't want it to seem that way
So in this situation which one would you choose over the other?
Yes
Take M&A and try and leverage that into a IBD SA stint somewhere else
