Incoming summer analyst wondering what you all ranked and when we can expect to hear back from HR. Does anyone have any color on this?

Most of the groups are not good…
Start interviewing now to find somewhere else to go, it’s a declining franchise

Your ranking doesn’t matter.
The groups all decide and you giving a ranking is to make you think you have some input.
Also who gets top groups at UBS is decided a lot by school prestige, internal connections, nepotism too. It’s not a fair process at all.
Especially for smaller groups like FSG and C&R
How do they rank? Can anyone at UBS explain how it works from the inside perspective?
Each group gives a list then HR tries to make as many groups happy
How many interns does each group take on average?
~15 in GIG and LF
~5 in C&R and FSG
~8 in M&A
What about HC and Tech?
~10 in FIG
Is the general consensus still
1. LF
(slight drop)
2. FSG
(steep drop)
3. GIG
(steep drop)
4. C&R
(slight drop)
5. HC
