UK Career Advice

Hey everyone ,

I’m can international in the UK for went to a target uni for my undergrad and ended up taking a finance graduate scheme at a retailer.

Over the course of my graduate scheme , I spent time in roles in accounting and forecasting and am on track to gain my CIMA qualification. I also spent a year within our treasury division.

I want to break out of retail and enter into the finance sector but am aware my experience and background may disadvantage me so far, hence I wanted to ask for a bit of advice -

  1. Are there any roles at all within Banks that I could potentially apply to ? Don’t mind it being BO or MO as well
  2. I’m thinking of potentially doing my masters within the UK, but I’m unable to do any summer internships due to my visa restrictions. Are there any FT roles I could apply to using my treasury experience and would I stand a decent chance ? If not what else should I aim for or do?

Really would appreciate any and all advice
