It's not poor. EVR, CVP, MS, GS, JPM etc, all opened up for FT hiring this year and I know people getting offers (even multiple). So its probs down to you.

Also without that attitude of "what other careers that are high pay" is probably why you didn't get anything.

Depends firm to firm obvs. If you have done SA recruiting, its that but just a bit more difficult. Usually more relaxed on the technicals if you have good experience anyways (i.e. prior summer in PE/IB with a return offer in hand). More focused on fit, reflections on your SA experience
