Underclassman Internship Experiences?

What worked best for me was quality not quantity. I felt I knew which contacts were in a position to help me out the most and I networked with those specific contacts the most. No use in networking with someone who has no influence in the job process if your sole purpose is to obtain a job.

Look for anything with on campus recruititng. I did a bs remote internship sophomore year which opened some doors
Was it paid?
The remote ones weren't but the sophomore year one was. Looking back, both remote internships were useless in terms of my development(lot of busy work no skill development) but it helped me stand out
