Urgent dilemma – Whether to contact HR regarding this?

Yesterday I just finished a half day (morning) superday with a BB which included several interviews. Unfortunately I had not gotten much sleep the night before due to being woken up by loud noise from the room next door which persisted for more than one hour, this was completely outside of my control and had a severe negative impact.

This caused me to be extremely tired in the morning, however despite this I still feel I performed well during all interviews. After the interviews had finished I was told to go home, at that point I was extremely tired and went back to my room to sleep. However a few minutes after falling asleep I was suddenly called by HR and asked to come back to the office. At that point I was not aware of the process, I was extremely tired but was also excited as I mistakenly thought I was being invited in to be given an offer.

Upon arrival at the office I realized that the reason for calling me back to was give me another interview with a different VP who I had not yet interviewed with. However at this point I was absolutely exhausted and performed very badly during this interview due to being far too tired.

None of the other candidates have been given offers yet and I am wondering whether to send an email to HR explaining the situation and stating my concerns whilst also offering to come in for another interview if necessary (I am studying in the same city as the office I interviewed at) I am concerned whether this might come across as whiny or appear like I am trying to make excuses, or even make them think I might not be able to cope with being tired whilst working there?

What would you guys do in this situation?

For the record, you definitely won't be the only person interviewing tired and so they won't be sympathetic....as an example, I've done more than one interview after having had to pull an all nighter immediately before to prepare because I haven't had any other time to.

Thanks for the fast responses guys, much appreciated!

When I received the phone call in the afternoon HR I was advised to come back and have the interview that same afternoon (Friday) if possible, but that alternatively the interview could be scheduled for Monday.

Do you think it might be worth sending a quick email to HR briefly saying that I was extremely tired during the afternoon interview and feel that it would have been better if I had chosen to have it on Monday, and to let them know I would be happy to come in again on Monday for another interview if necessary?

That ship has sailed. You should've rescheduled it for Monday but there's nothing you can do now. Interviewers are usually given offers via consensus so hopefully you did as well as you think you did but I would be prepared to take the L.
