Urgent - Informal meeting with a Chief Country Officer of a BB

I am going to have an informal meeting with a Chief Country Officer of a BB tomorrow. I am a Corporate/Banking Portuguese Lawyer trying to shift to banking. Any tips on how I should tackle such meeting?

Thank you all in advance, Best

First of all, good luck and congrats on getting that meeting.

I am in no way qualified to answer this, but here would be my guess:

1) Don't be too pushy. Let the conversation flow casually at first, and don't go straight to the point.

2) Mention the reasons that you want to go into banking, as well as why you think you are qualified to do so.

3) Be humble and ask him for advice on shifting into banking in general, then depending on how he reacts ask him how you should position yourself to move into the BB.

Again this may not be the best advice, but I think a lot of it depends on how the conversation flows with this guy... if he likes you and whatnot. Of course, come prepared with resume and business cards, but #1 thing to keep in mind is to make him like you, so don't force the conversation and just try to be yourself/be friendly.

Boa sorte amigo

Wall Street leaders now understand that they made a mistake, one born of their innocent and trusting nature. They trusted ordinary Americans to behave more responsibly than they themselves ever would, and these ordinary Americans betrayed their trust.
