Visa to work in UK post MBA
I am considering getting an MBA in the UK, but I am concerned about the Visa situation there. As LBS explains:
"As a recent UK graduate on a Tier 4 Visa, you qualify for an exemption from the Resident Labour Market Test. Employers are easily able to sponsor our alumni on a Tier 2 Visa and offer them post-study job opportunities."
Is this an accurate assessment of how difficult it is to find an employer willing to sponsor you for a Tier 2 Visa post graduation? Thanks for any light you can shed on this.
EDIT: I have American citizenship only.
Leaving the USA for the UK; hmm strong logic here, and not just due to the Visa issues.
The US is the place to be.
Very generally speaking, yes - an employer might be willing and able to sponsor you. I have met several LBS graduates from the US who worked/lived in London. What I don't know is what percentage of internationals from this specific school will get this sponsorship (ask the school, maybe?)
Also, given a certain level of uncertainty due to the Brexit, immigration laws are facing an overhaul. One of the underlying drivers of the Brexit was to limit immigration (and indirect costs on NHS & other govt. services attached to it).

Are incoming non-EU students basically screwed for FT recruiting, or will banks and other firms find a nifty way to still hire them? Will it vary from BBs to boutiques? Does this apply as stringently to people with US/Canadian citizenship who can speak several European languages? Does this apply equally to all universities or only to so-called bogus colleges? EDIT: Seems like it doesn't apply to actual universities (see below), but then why is there a large bank that didn't give out offers to non-EU interns, including students in the UK (WSO link above)? Still would appreciate any further insight/confirmation.

We can confirm that the change in working conditions and your ability to switch into Tier 2 in the UK will not affect students studying at degree level at the LSE. The changes that have been implemented only affect students studying at below degree level in Further Education colleges. These colleges provide post-16 education mostly below degree level."

Bump, trying one last time. Any info at all will help, as I'm facing many application deadlines in my home country with companies that don't let you apply to two locations.
Talked to a few friends who where interns at BB's this year and although they themselves didn't have first hand experience/knowledge, confirmed that a lot of fellow SA's were put on hold
