want to lateral but minimal modeling experience?
I'm in IB and am in my second year as an analyst. My resume looks good on paper, but I haven't had much modeling experience at my firm (small no name shop), so I feel like I have imposter syndrome when applying to banks as an A2. I've had firms reach out for interviews, but I'm wondering to what extent they ask technicals in the first rounds and what is the best way I can quickly gain modeling experience? I'm considering hiring a tutor for the weekend to prep me. Is this a huge ding that I'm not up to par with modeling (ie LBO)? I graduated from a semi target and got a high GPA, so I'm really teach-able, but may not have everything down just yet. Thanks!
