Wanting other opening at BB… can I email HR about it?
I got an offer for CIB at a BB, but I really want to pursue a specific IB division of theirs, which I haven’t heard from since doing my Hirevue about a month ago. Could I possibly reach out to HR and let them know that I’d prefer the IBD role and if they can accelerate me for that? Or will it make me look bad and put me at risk of them rescinding their CIB offer? If anyone has experienced this before or has some insight, I would seriously appreciate it. Thank you!

I would think this is a very bad idea. Accept your offer and switch internally in about a year.
It's foolish to risk losing an offer over a preference.
