Wash U vs Wisconsin
Which school would you guys say is better for undergraduate? Wash U is higher ranked, but I feel like Wisconsin probably has more alumni on the street and more notoriety. Which do recruiters like more?

Career Resources
Wisconsin for the exact reasons that you pointed out. Keep in mind that the rankings are utterly meaningless when comparing two schools that are that close, totally subjective and even more meaningless when it comes to recognition on the street.
Wisconsin does have more alumni, but I think the on-campus recruiting will be better at Wash U. But regardless, either one is good for recruiting. Therefore, choose for reasons unrelated to recruiting.
Wisconsin if you can get into the investment banking club there or if you can't don't mind recruiting for mm investment banks, real estate acquisition firms, and big 4 accounting jobs.
wash u if you are dead set on bb ib or MBB consulting (most likely chicago)
wisconsin is a lot more fun of a school to attend (should be obvious)
Work hard and you'll be fine from either. I can tell you though, that Wash U doesn't have a large alum base at BB's, if that's what you're looking for. OCR will be decent for MM firms and BB's in Chicago, and there are alums at GS and JPM. Essentially, you're gonna have to do a lot of work yourself, but it is definitely do-able. Let me know if you have any questions about Wash U.
Wisconsin, I am sure, would be a good choice too. Its obviously a good school and I have heard good things about the Investment banking club. Since it has a much larger Alumni network, you'd probably have better connections across the country.
Either way, you put in your work and you're fine.
wash u is definitely a better school and place better on the street (especially mid market)
Wash U
Is this a joke?
Wash U Top 13 school, rising in the rankings...
Wisconsin, barely even in the top 50. Lost to TCU (ok obviously a joke)
Which do you think looks more impressive to recruiters? Which school is harder to get into?
Guys help me out Harvard or Tulane? Which has better OCR?
wisconsin used to be ranked in the low 30s, not sure what happened to it lol. ( i think US News may have changed their formulas recently)
anyways, Wash U is better for Chicago IB, but Wisconsin places well enough in Chicago IB too, and if you can get into the investment banking club you have a legitimate shot at NYC BB.
So in terms of NYC BB, Wash U would be better? It seems to me that if Wash U is better in BB and also offers better options (since it's the better school overall) that it would be the better choice. It also should be noted that I would be a transfer student, so my GPA upside would be higher at Wash U, since I hypothetically could get a 4.0 there whereas I do not have one at Wisconsin.
