Waste of space in a resume or not?

I'm a first-year university student in Spain. I've been applying for internships in the UK and other EU nations recently. I'm not sure whether or not to include something in my CV: should I describe the companies I did internships for internstional applications? I did a couple of internships at a tech firm that it may be known in Spain, but not so much in other countries. Should I use one of my bullet points to describe the company and what they do before discussing my own accomplishments there? Is that going to help me or is it a waste of space? Giving the reviewer a greater understanding of the company's operations and making it sound like a higher-quality experience would help? But at the end Im not talking about what I did, but at least it will give context. For instance, I'm about to take an internship in a local specialist investment bank here in Madrid this summer. If I apply to some finance position in the UK or other countries, should I start that experience with "XYZ bank is a specialist investment bank with over $30bn in AUM that focuses on... and so on" for the first bullet? Or not. Is a niche question but I would like some advice.
