Were You Guys Happy with Your Internship Recruiting Outcomes?

Given the difficult economy over the past year and the randomness of the recruiting process, how did you guys feel about your recruitment cycle? Were you happy, content, or unhappy with your recruiting outcomes?
More importantly, what advice would you have for future prospects and what would you have done differently?

Still going - so not yet.

I hope some kids keep things in perspective, especially amongst mass layoffs. Any internship is an incredible first step and let me be the first to tell you I'll happily take your offer if you're 'disappointed.'

IDC where the office is or what the deal size is anymore; I've been fired up about IB for over a year and between my own growing pains and bad luck, here I am with my dick in my hand in May. Still loving every minute of the chase. I guess I don't know when to quit

"Hurr durr im not content bcos I didnt the group that I wanted at my BB SUMMER INTERNSHIP, where i'll be in NYC at a BB BANK!!! a BULGE BRACKET!!!. Oh oh oh did I mention I'm a NON-TARGET !!!"

Incredibly happy. I’m an international student at a shit school that places 1 kid in IB maybe every 4-5 years lmao. My family and friends used to give me shit for wanting to study in the US, and do finance and work long hours etc. But when that offer letter came through with the comp, and they saw my total household income being earned in 10 weeks, they were so proud. This is the start of generational wealth so I’m extremely happy.

no. Def should be given its good place and I was a non-target/non diverse. However, mildly salty given their exit apps are not as strong relative to their "peer" banks.

- Sigh, sometimes ambition really kills your joy/ability to be content. There's always something next on the ladder.

Recruited full time but landed my geography and group preference, which aligns with future interests. Did a no name boutique internship before since I was studying another major originally. Pretty satisfied. Know many others who didn’t get as lucky(had an alumni vouch for me)

Very happy w/ recruitment (non-diverse, target going to MF PE). I would strongly encourage incoming sophomores to start networking during the end of the summer and the fall semester to get a leg up (especially if you're non-diverse). Also, take time to learn everything about an industry (e.g., niche metrics, in-depth trends, business models / unit economics, etc.) because this knowledge sets you apart from other candidates and I think this is what mainly helped me get offers.
